A Division II standout, Marshall was a three time AFCA All-American,
earning first-team honors as both a junior and senior. Also
took home MVP honors from the 2004 Cactus Bowl for Division
II all-stars.
A transfer to Grand Valley State after one season at Hawaii,
went on to earn GLIAC defensive lineman of the year three
straight years. In his career, recorded 230 tackles, 26 sacks
and 69 tackles for a loss. As a senior, started 10 of 13 games
played and tallied 66 tackles, 6 sacks, 25 tackles for a loss,
3 FFs and 3 FRs.
As a junior, recorded 44 tackles, 4 sacks, 9 tackles for a loss,
2 FFs, 2 FRs and 2 blocked kicks. As a sophomore, registered
career-highs with 79 tackles and 12 sacks along with 23 tackles
for a loss and 1 blocked kick. Tallied 41 tackles, 12 tackles
for loss, 4 sacks and 2 FRs as a freshman.
